A doll of a young girl around 16-17 years of age.
Depicting a young girl adorned in a hemp-made kimono enjoying herself on a wonderful spring day. She appears lost in thought as she takes a stroll outside gazing up at the clear sky. Perhaps she is thinking of a special someone or has just had something good happen to her. This is something that only she knows, yet it is undoubtedly a happy thought. Spring is the season for one’s heart to flutter after all.

Used for the costume is an especially rare piece of Kodai-gire made of hemp and decorated with embroidery. This piece of Kodai-gire is unusual due to the fact that hemp is almost always dyed to create patterns, not embroidered which is more commonly found used with silks.
The artist was enthralled by this Kodai-gire when she came across it and was inspired to create “Fluttering Heart” in order to wear it for her.
While girl and women dolls are generally made to wear bright colors such as red, it is evident that blue also has its place too with an invigorating beauty. Our belief of not getting caught in the status quo is why only at Shikōkai are we able to produce such innovative and beautiful works of art.

A doll that may be displayed all year round and for everybody to enjoy—making it an ideal gift for anybody you may wish to give it to.
Why not join her in letting your heart flutter every now and again.
